Participating in Model United Nations (MUN) is a great opportunity for students to develop important skills such as public speaking, research, diplomacy, and argumentation. This is exactly what Clameera Aleasha Fernanda, a student from Charis Global School, experienced when she earned two awards at GM MUN 22nd Edition 2026: Best Position Paper and Diplomatic Commendation.
It All Started with Looking for an MUN Competition

Clameera’s interest in MUN started when she was looking for a competition to join. She came across information about GM MUN on Instagram and thought the competition looked interesting and exciting to try.
Her decision to participate in MUN became a new experience for her. Beyond the opportunity to compete, she also had to prepare for various aspects of the conference, from writing a position paper to developing the skills needed to engage and collaborate with other delegates.
Preparing for MUN Takes Hard Work and Discipline

For Clameera, the MUN experience itself went quite smoothly. However, she knew that getting ready for the conference still required hard work and discipline.
She spent around 1–2 hours every day working on different aspects of her MUN preparation. Staying consistent became an important part of her journey before competing at GM MUN 22nd Edition 2026.
Her preparation was not only about understanding MUN materials but also about developing the skills needed throughout the conference. To make her preparation more focused, Clameera decided to join Globy Private Coaching.

Throughout her preparation, Clameera received coaching from Coach Ali, Coach Elaine, and Coach Josie. According to Clameera, the support from the coaches had a significant impact on her MUN journey.
Through coaching, she dedicated her time to developing key MUN skills, particularly position paper writing, motions, diplomacy, leadership, and writing skills.
Having a more structured preparation process helped Clameera understand the different aspects she needed to focus on before and during the MUN conference. Through this process, she was not only preparing to compete but also developing skills that are essential to the Model United Nations experience.
Winning Two Awards at GM MUN
All of Clameera’s hard work and preparation eventually paid off. At GM MUN 22nd Edition 2026, she successfully earned two awards: Best Position Paper and Diplomatic Commendation.
For Clameera, receiving both awards came as a surprise because she never expected to win a double award.
“It was really shocking because I didn’t expect to get a double award.”
These awards also became Clameera’s first two MUN awards, making the achievement even more meaningful and memorable.
What’s Next for Clameera?

Winning two awards at GM MUN 22nd Edition 2026 is not the end of Clameera’s Model United Nations journey. After earning her first two awards, she hopes to participate in more MUN competitions and continue developing her skills.
Her next goal is clear: to participate in more MUN conferences and hopefully earn more awards along the way.
Clameera’s journey shows that participating in MUN is about more than simply speaking during the conference. There is a process behind every achievement, from finding the right competition and preparing consistently to developing writing and diplomacy skills and receiving feedback through coaching.
With the right preparation and a willingness to keep learning, MUN can be a valuable opportunity for students to develop skills that can benefit them both inside and outside competitions.
